Recently we’ve talked about setting your business goals, and working out what has worked effectively for your business before.

But to start achieving your goals you need to align your marketing activities.

The trouble is, how do you know what to do?

The truth is there are no guarantees with marketing – no magic bullets. Because marketing is not an exact science.

However, there are things you can do to improve your chances…

The first priority has to be your website

Think of your website as your shop window for the world. If you owned a retail shop you wouldn’t have broken mannequins in the window and dirty glass.

So, why then, is it acceptable to have a website that is old fashioned, outdated, with broken links and information that isn’t kept up to date?

If you really are on a very tight budget there are lots of inexpensive, or even free, platforms you can use, that will give you a professional website.

However, we would argue that if you aren’t prepared to invest in your business, why should you expect your customers to do so?

We believe investing in a good looking website, that is functional, stylish, easy to manage and really sells your business, is a very wise investment.

Work with a professional company and make sure they deliver an end result that makes your heart beat a little faster…

When it does that, you know it’s the right one for you

The reality is, these days everyone checks out a business online, before doing business with them. If your website is a true reflection of your business, then they are often ready to take the next step.

Before leaping ahead with social media and online advertising, make sure your website is really doing the best job for you that it can. After all any online activity is designed to drive traffic back to your website.
