So, it’s that time of year when we start thinking about sharing some Christmas cheer.
How do you do that for your customers?
Firstly, we are strong believers in sending Christmas cards. Not an e-card, but a physical card in the post.
There is something really nice about receiving something in the post – knowing somebody has taken the time to choose it, write it and put a stamp on it. And, let’s be honest, getting an envelope that isn’t asking for money is always a bonus!
But what about a nice gift? A token of your appreciation…
When we think about our own gifts for clients, we start by going back to grass roots. We look at the customer profile, what they have in common, what shared interests they have.
Of course, the better you know your customers the easier it is to do this. You can imagine them with the ideas you have, so you know if it would be a good fit.
There’s no point in giving away notebooks, if your customers always use a tablet or laptop to take notes. Or choosing iPhone accessories, if they are all Android users.
You get the picture.
To give you a bit of inspiration… Over the last few years we have chosen branded notebooks and pens, wooden desk puzzles and branded power banks before. All of these have gone down very well with our predominantly male client base. We won’t give away the surprise for this year’s gift!
Because of the excellent relationship we have with our clients, we often supplement these more corporate style gifts with individually chosen bottles of wine and/or high quality chocolates for their teams.
The myriad of unusual and stylish promotional gifts that can be branded is very impressive now, so you can have almost anything. Technology based products remain very popular with wireless chargers seeming to top the list at present.
We work closely with a company that specialises in these products, to find the right thing for our clients to give to their customers.
In fact, we often “manage Christmas” for many of our clients – including sourcing and sending Christmas cards, and finding gifts.
